Manual Handling

This Manual Handling Training Course helps employers ensure that their employees are sufficiently trained in the principles and practices of safe manual handling. On completion of this course, participants will be able to lift and handle loads safely, and recognise a load which is too heavy or awkward.

Confined space Training

Confined space training is available at 3 levels:
  1. Confined Space Awareness
  2. Confined Space Entry (Medium Risk)
  3. Confined Space Entry (High Risk)


Course Objectives
  • Understand the dangers of working in confined spaces
  • Review the current working in confined spaces legislation
  • Recognise the importance of effective communication
  • Identify how to establish safe procedures for working in confined spaces
  • Effectively respond to emergencies
  • Establish the required paperwork

Safe working at heights

The programme gives the attendees an understanding of the principles of working safely at heights. The working at height regulations and the requirements for pre-use visual inspection of safety harnesses and other PPE, correct fitting, attachment care and storage are all covered in detail. Offered at user and Instructor level. 

Learning outcomes
  • Understand the main features and requirements of the Work at Height Regulations
  • Give examples of common working at height tasks and understand the associated hazards and risks
  • Identify the factors that contribute to persons and objects falling from height
  • Describe the control measures that control and reduce the risk of falls from height
  • Understand the proper use of access and work at height equipment and safe methods of access to reduce or eliminate the risk of falls
